How old does my child need to be?
Six. Kids jiu-jitsu at Gracie Humaita Brownsville starts at age 6. We do not run toddler or preschool classes.
When are the kids classes?
Kids BJJ is Tuesday and Thursday at 5 pm and Friday at 6 pm. Kids & Teens BJJ is Tuesday and Thursday at 6 pm. Every class is one hour.
What belts can kids earn?
Kids progress through white, grey, yellow, orange and green belts. From age 16, students can earn the adult belts: white, blue, purple, brown and black.
How do we start?
